This article is over 9 years old and may contain outdated information.

This is, without a doubt, the most random and orneriest thing I have ever written about. A modder called Sir Kirby the 4th has made the Hyrule Temple stage into a playable character for Smash Bros. Brawl. It comes equipped with Kirby’s hammer and Fox’s gun. Tons of characters have been added to the battle through modding, but this is the first time an actual stage is joining the fight.

Makes me wonder what the announcer says when Hyrule Temple wins a match.

The temple’s move set isn’t terribly original, but it is kind of random. One would expect  a Zelda-themed stage to have Zelda character moves. Instead, it borrows weapons from other franchise heroes to do its damage. Without a gameplay video of the mod in action, its full moves and play style are a mystery, meaning players will just have to give it a try and find out how it works.

Smash Bros.
This is what happens when human beings are given the power to screw with the laws of the natural universe.
Smash Bros.
And this is what happens when Link pays the Star Fox team a bunch of rupees to come to Hyrule and help him deal with Ganondorf.

Now that Smash Bros. stages are being made playable and the civilized world is descending into complete anarchy, how about playable items too? Like a Pokeball. Or a Smash Ball that can unleash a random Final Smash when it acquires another Smash Ball. How about you guys? What’s the weirdest thing you can think of to make into a playable character? Give us your best shot in the comments!
