Nintendo revealed a female version of Link a few weeks ago, named Linkle, that would be introduced in Hyrule Warriors Legends for the Nintendo 3DS. Today, Tecmo Koei has released a new trailer for the game that focuses mainly on Linkle and her dual-bowgun action.

The trailer starts off with Linkle gearing up. She readies her bowguns, a compass, and her hooded green tunic. Linkle’s moves in the trailer show that she relies mainly on a combination of her bowguns and acrobatics. She can easily dispose of a large group of enemies with her basic attacks. Her super attacks can cause enemies to be gathered together and be stunned, or she can throw a large bomb onto the battlefield. Check out the video below.

Linkle is not the only new character revealed for Hyrule Warriors Legends. She joins the likes of Toon Link, Tetra, and King of Red Lions. These new characters will also be available to be used in Hyrule Warriors on the Wii U.

Both Hyrule Warriors and Hyrule Warriors Legends mix the hack-and-slash gameplay of Tecmo Koei’s Dynasty Warriors with Nintendo’s Legend of Zelda series. While there is a much stronger emphasis on combat than other games in the Legend of Zelda series, the player may use common weapons from prior games in the series, such as a sword, bombs, and Link’s signature spin attack. Enemy targeting also returns, in combination with elements from the Dynasty Warriors combat system. Obtaining items through discovering and opening chests are retained as well.

Hyrule Warriors Legends is set to release on the Nintendo 3DS on March 25, 2016.
