Still got the snack though.

An Ohio woman went off on a neighborhood kid after he opened her door without knocking. But her reaction to the intrusion had TikTok debating her approach. Some thought she was too harsh, while others felt the child needed the lesson regardless of her delivery.

Posted to TikTok by @sweetskaye, the video begins after the child apparently opened the door without knocking. He is now standing outside the garage door. The Ohio creator confronts him about his behavior. She tells him not to do it again. She also warns that he won’t get any more snacks if he keeps entering her home without permission.

“Now hold on while I get your [expletive] snack,” she says before the boy apologizes.

The boy then explains that he was looking for someone named Cameron. That’s why he opened the door. She gives him another warning about entering her home. She then tells him Cameron isn’t there and says goodbye.

Was This Tough Love or Too Much?

The debate in the comments largely centered on whether the Ohio woman’s reaction was appropriate or whether the boy needed to learn a lesson about boundaries by any means necessary.

Several commenters saw the interaction as a form of tough love, particularly because the creator still gave the boy a snack after scolding him. “Yelled at and still got snacks? You must love him,” one commenter joked.

Many viewers defended the creator’s decision to correct the child, particularly because he had entered her home without knocking. “She did this because if he did that to someone else who has the worst intentions that could’ve ended differently,” one commenter wrote.

Another agreed, saying the boy needed to understand that entering someone else’s home without permission could be dangerous.

But others thought the language went too far. “Wow. I can’t imagine talking like that to a child,” one person wrote.Another simply responded, “that poor baby.”

One commenter said the boy clearly felt comfortable around the creator and argued that this still didn’t justify speaking to him that way. “Jesus let him be a kid, he clearly feels safe and comfortable with you, didnt have to do him like that,” they wrote.

Even some commenters who defended the lesson acknowledged that the delivery could have been different. “Could different words be used yes, but he still needed to know that was wrong,” one person wrote.

No one in the comments argued the boy was right to walk in without knocking. That part wasn’t up for debate. What split the section was how the lesson should have been taught, and whether the creator was the right person to teach it that way
