I’ve definitely had my issues with life sims and their extremely limited character creators, but since Krafton released the inZOI Character Studio, I’d be lying if I said I haven’t been having loads of fun with it. Of course, my first course of action was to make the hottest goth waifu I could think up, and I think I did a pretty dang good job.
If you take a look at games like The Sims 4, you’ll probably find that your options are, well, lacking. Yeah, there’s quite a bit for clothing, but when it comes down to it, the different looks and styles you can create all tend to look super similar. I’m not the kind of girl who likes everything to be uniform, you know? I like to switch it up every once in a while, and this time around, I was absolutely able to.
Now, most of you haven’t seen me irl. Actually, I guarantee none of you have, but that’s beyond the point. My style’s a bit dark, and I’m a firm believer that the color black goes with literally everything, especially red. Honestly, the logic’s there. They look great together, so that’s where I got started with some red pigtails with black roots. Probably not a style I’d rock for myself, but I have to admit, the option was there, and with the graphics that inZOI offers, I really couldn’t pass it up. The hair textures are literally amazing.
Moving on, I dove DEEP into the makeup options available. Which, once again, don’t have as many options as I was expecting, but 100% surpassed my expectations with high quality and the option for any color to be used. I was able to get the perfect dark, smokey shadow look with accompanying winged liner and some nice, dark toned blush. For real, tell me any other life sim where you can give your character a look like that without it looking ultra fake. Oh, you can’t? Exactly.
Moving on, I got to work on creating the perfect body and picking out clothes to go with it. Naturally, I had to give my character some thighs. Because really, who doesn’t love them? The body editor allowed me to customize every aspect the way I liked it, and I couldn’t be happier with that. Even with edits made and thickness altered, it still looks realistic and good.
After I finished up with the body editing, I moved onto her wardrobe, which threw me off for a moment. The clothing options are pretty limited, but there’s another option that gives you a much wider range of possibilities. If you don’t find the clothes you like, you can create custom clothes that will fit and look the exact way you want them to. Granted, it’s hard to custom create a nice goth style, so I snagged one out of the pre-made clothing selection.
Finally, I topped off the super cute black mini dress with some thigh highs and combat boots, and she was good to go. I don’t know about you, but I’ll definitely be having some fun with creating more characters when inZOI is available to play.
