Making mistakes during your first week at a new job is completely normal. That’s how you learn, after all. There are, however, some mistakes that are just unforgivable. No one should do them, regardless of how long they have been working. Well, an employee at Amazon in Georgia made a mistake that was just as idiotic. She shared a video of the Amazon truck she was driving while repeatedly saying that she was going to be fired. She then showed why Amazon would definitely fire her. Apparently, the worker got their truck stuck inside a garage where it was clearly stated that clearance is 6 ft 10 in. She even said that she knew the truck was about eight or nine feet which made this worse. If she already knew the height of the truck, then why would she attempt to get inside that garage?
As the Georgia woman kept filming the stuck Amazon truck, she repeated that they were going to fire her. It turned out that it was just her fourth day at work. Since Christmas is near, Amazon made her words come true. In another video, she said that they immediately fired her after what happened. Honestly, it’s not a small mistake that they could have just ignored. The worker also shared a third video asking people if they think Amazon would give her the job back if she called and apologized. Honestly, it might just be better to start looking for a new one.
People Reacting to the Georgia Woman Getting Fired
With the kind of mistake the Georgia woman made, not many people sympathized with her. Almost everyone believed that it was reasonable for Amazon to fire her. For example, one person sided with the company and said, “That was not a simple mistake.” The worker even left a comment that pointed out how badly she messed up. “Lol I broke the camera dented and scraped the top of the van smh I’m done for,” she said. With all these damages, one woman told her that there was no way Amazon was going to forgive her. “Girl no! You damaged their property AND a building/parking structure. You can ask but, Theyre DEFINITELY saying no! They have to pay for that parking structure and the truck,” she wrote. It’s a good point, right?
The video of the truck stuck had many people laughing at the situation the Georgia woman found herself in. This is why many people joked about it such as one person who wrote, “Grab your lunchbox, and just head to the house.” Another person also said, “Time to wrap it up.. indeed has a lot of jobs.” Some people tried to help, though, and offered her advice. “Just reverse it slowly and act like nothing happen they cant see the top! Lol,” one woman wrote. Someone else then said, “drive out real fast.” Since she’s no longer with the company, maybe Amazon is the one who needs tips on freeing the truck.
