There are various ways to celebrate July 4th, and most of them are perfectly acceptable. However, people should be cautious when they choose how they want to celebrate. Some people might use fireworks improperly and end up getting injured. This has already happened many times. Others decide to blow up different types of things not caring about what might happen. A family in Indiana that can only be described as idiotic decided to celebrate July 4th in a new way. Instead of just throwing fireworks as any normal person would do, they decided to go to an extra length. The family chose to blow up a refrigerator in their backyard.
A video of this stupid move was taken by one of the Indiana family’s neighbors. You can see a woman backing away from the refrigerator before a small explosion happens. For a moment, when you see the small cloud of smoke, you think that it isn’t that bad. Well, it was. A second later, the refrigerator blew up, causing a loud boom and a large cloud of smoke. You can see pieces of it flying around right after the explosion. The neighbor seems upset as he realizes that these pieces reached their yard. So the family didn’t just cause chaos outside their home, but also at their neighbors’ house. A woman seems to be the only wise person there as she says, “Call 911.” I would like to see how the family explained to the police what they just did.
People Reacting to the Indiana Family’s Celebration
Thankfully, people in the comments were sane because they saw that the Indiana family was dumb. Someone asked an obvious question as they wrote, “Did they hear of Shrapnel?” Apparently, they didn’t. Another person said, “That’s a big shitty mess to clean up I bet.” I, however, doubt that they are going to clean anything up. One person shared my opinion as they wrote, “There [sic] probably not gonna clean it up.” In addition to the mess made, someone mentioned other repercussions. “Yeah but aren’t there also gasses in the fridge that aren’t meant to be let out of the pipes,” they wrote. If that’s the case then they would need to call an ambulance as well.
One Redditor thought that no one got injured as they said, “Dumbasses are lucky no one got hit with any shrapnel.” Unfortunately, someone was harmed. “OP confirmed the neighbor was hurt by shrapnel. Who woulda guessed? Not the country bumpkin, celebratin’ their InDeRpEnDaNcE!” one comment said. If I were her, I would definitely be suing. With what the Indiana family did, it’s only fair that some people were sarcastic. “It’s ok they sure look like the type to have safely disposed of the cyclopentane, and replaced it will an optimal clean burning alternative,” one person mocked. The most annoying part is that when the county sheriff showed up after several people called 911, they only told the family to knock it off. Yeah, sure they were planning to blow up another refrigerator. I feel bad for the one who was injured though.
