There are a lot of different places where people could host debates, but going to a place where you aren’t welcome is simply stupid. This is what two idiotic Tennessee MAGA influencers did as they went inside Tennessee State University and set up a table to debate people. It’s not just that they didn’t have a permit to do this, but why would they choose to go to a HBCU out of all places? They weren’t met with open arms as security came quickly to escort them out. The students inside the college were also upset by their presence. This made them form a crowd and walk behind them as they were led outside. At one point, you could see someone lifting a sign saying, “Black Lives Matter.” The students started booing them as well which was honestly entertaining.
The Tennessee MAGA influencers also received a lot of insults, as you could hear someone telling them, “You guys touch children.” There was also a video filmed by one of the influencers as they were chased outside. Fox News was one of the places that posted it and it’s not surprising that most of the comments were racist. So it was okay for the two guys to have signs saying “Deport all illegals” and “DEI should be illegal”? If they came just to spread hate then they shouldn’t be surprised when they are met with the same treatment. This might teach them that they aren’t welcome. They probably even went to the university on purpose to get a reaction out of the students there. Well, they definitely received one.
People Reacting to the Idiotic Tennessee MAGA Influencers
Aside from the racist comments left under the video posted by Fox News, a lot of people were against the Tennessee MAGA influencers. Since Charlie Kirk was known for his debates, one person believed that the two guys were trying to be like Kirk. “Charlie Kirk wanna be,” they wrote. Some conservatives claimed that the left are easily offended, but another person pointed out that this wasn’t the case. “Its all projection. Conservatives are the most easily offended people I’ve ever met. They are so quick to start yelling and whining if someone proves them wrong. I had to talk down so many conservatives because they wanted to fight me after a simple conversation where I didn’t once raise my voice or get aggressive. A lot of the time it’s not even politics we are talking, just a bunch of grown babies …,” they said.
Some people tried to look at what the Tennessee influencers did through a different lens. One Redditor believed that this could have turned out better if they had gotten permission first. “It would be different if, say they put out flyers a week or two in advance to say they’re coming, got permission from the university to set up an actual nice station for debates in an organized way. You dont just show up on someone’s door step like this. They just wanted to do this to ‘sell’ it as propaganda,” they wrote. Another person then claimed that the two guys did this on purpose so they would receive a reaction. “They wanted an uncivil reaction so they can be victims. The f**king audacity,” they said. Even if that was true, they were still chased out of the campus.
