Zenless Zone Zero recently announced the registration for its Closed Beta 3, and fans are patiently awaiting the game’s release later this year. In the meantime, HoYoverse continues to introduce the colorful and eccentric characters of its new gacha installment. For the latest character demo, we have the cat with the most attitude from Zenless Zone Zero, Nekomata, one lady who likes to show more than just her claws. She’ll treat you differently depending on how you treat her, so be very careful when angering this feline.
Zenless Zone Zero Nekomata’s Demo Shows She Isn’t Just a Wild Brat
If you have a soft spot for animals in general, or in other words, furries (no judging), you could become Nekomata’s friend. This half-cat girl, in addition to her ears and tail, also has a strong personality like cats usually have. Even if she seems whimsical and lazy sometimes, there is more to her than that. When she witnesses an injustice, Nekomata will not hesitate to pull out her claws. On the other side of the spectrum, she is also a caring person, looking out for stray cats and feeding them whenever possible. So, the cute kittens will not hesitate to give Nekomata a paw when she needs it, as she is part of a big family.
Another aspect that stands out in this trailer is that in previous official illustrations, Nekomata first appeared with a slit in her little shorts. However, that hole disappeared in the recent images, which confused fans and once again blamed HoYoverse for censorship. It seems that for this character demo, the developer finally decided that Nekomata would instead simply have a one-piece pair of solid shorts sans the slit. Regardless of this detail, the design of this half-cat girl is unique, and its animations are great. We hope that the game will arrive sooner than we think because we’re eager to spend our money on whatever new gacha currency HoYoverse throws at us.
