Starfield‘s pre-orders are up on all platforms, and the digital stores have two different editions of the game. It’s nearly impossible to see single-edition sales on the games we played last year, but that doesn’t mean you should always get the higher plan. If Starfield is a game you plan to buy, you should consider the Premium Edition. The game’s standard version will be on Game Pass. Bethesda is giving players a few noteworthy reasons to get the Premium Edition for Starfield, and here’s why you should get it.

If You’re Pre-Ordering Starfield, the Premium Edition Makes More Sense

The content listed below is offered on all the editions for Starfield’s pre-orders:

  • Laser Cutter
  • Deep Mining Helmet
  • Deep Mining Pack

The Standard Edition only includes the base game, but the other changes are only in the Premium Edition.

  • Starfield Base Game
  • Shattered Space Story Expansion (upon release)
  • Constellation Skin Pack: Equinox Laser Rifle, Spacesuit, Helmet and Boost Pack
  • Access to Starfield Digital Artbook & Original Soundtrack

Additionally, Bethesda grants you early access to the game 5 days before the release. The Shattered Space Story Expansion is the biggest reason why you should get the Premium edition. That expansion will tell us another story and go live in early 2024. After the expansion shows up, it will probably have its own price, and that will cause you to pay more in total. If Starfield achieves to meet the expectations fans expect, the Shatter Space Story will be a major update of the game.

In conclusion, Starfield‘s Premium Edition has the advantages that a fan could ever want. The early access is starting on September 1. You can also upgrade to the Premium Edition if you have Game Pass, and therefore obtain all the benefits without paying the full price of the game.
