A roadside confrontation in Illinois has blown up across Reddit after a woman shared footage of an unhinged encounter with a mother and daughter who allegedly hurled racial slurs, made threats, and repeatedly tried to spark a fight.
The video, filmed from inside the victim’s car, shows two women approaching her vehicle after what the aggressor claims was a near collision. The mother insists the filmer had been driving while distracted, but the tone and sequence of the video make that claim look flimsy. The filmer calmly explains she was not on her phone and that the erratic driving came from the other vehicle, not her own.
The mother storms out of her car again and again, shouting, swearing, and hurling insults inches from the filmer’s door while the daughter tries to play mediator. In one of the more surreal moments, the aggressor yells that the filmer is “escalating the situation” even as she stalks barefoot across the pavement to confront her yet another time.
