There is nothing better for parents than raising a kind kid who thinks of others. An Illinois girl moved her mom’s heart and the hearts of internet users after her mom posted a video that is currently going viral. While the mom was getting ready to film a Get Ready With Me video, her daughter entered the room and told her that she wanted to donate her hair.
The mom listened patiently as her daughter explained that she wanted to cut a large part of her hair. She then wanted her mom to take it to the post office and give it to a hair program. The girl explained that the program would then make the hair into a wig and give it to women who lost their hair because of cancer. “I also wanna donate it to little kids too,” she added as she explained that little kids have cancer too. “Can you cut it to my shoulders?” the girl then asked her mom.
The video got even more heartwarming next. The girl then explained that she was doing this because she wanted to be a server of the Lord. “The Lord would love that wouldn’t he?” the little girl asked while her mom looked to be getting emotional. The girl even planned to donate around 10 inches of her hair. It definitely looked like the mom couldn’t be prouder of her daughter. “A ‘server of the Lord’ is what I pray she always strives to be,” she wrote in the caption.
The mom later posted another video where she told her daughter how proud of her she was. In the same video, she started cutting her hair just like she requested. They also prayed over the hair before they started cutting it. After they cut her hair, the girl’s dad made sure to tell her that she had a heart of gold. That is definitely true.
There was also a third video where the mom and daughter were on their way to the post office. The little girl also made sure to show people the donation paper to Children with Hair Loss. When the organization receives the hair, they would send the girl a certificate and a t-shirt as well. The girl also explained how she had had so much joy ever since she cut her hair because she was donating it. You could see her mom having a proud look on her face as she listened to her. We need more videos like this.

Many also praised the mom for raising such a great girl. “Empathy is a learned behavior. Great job Momma,” one person wrote. BTW she’s 26 and still here three time fighter of the biggest battle she ever had‼ God is good‼” Another person applauded the mom as they said, “You listened to her. Made her feel seen. Did exactly what she wanted. Even if it wasn’t what you wanted. That is something that will enrich your relationship FOREVER.” The parents are clearly doing a great job.
