Image Comics is bringing an impressive lineup of panels to this year’s New York Comic Con. In a press release, the publisher revealed some “can’t-miss” panels it is bringing to the East Coast. These panels promise to bring jaw-dropping announcements that will send fans into a frenzy. Alongside big reveals, these panels also bring exclusive signings, big-name comic creators, and so much more. New York Comic Con kicks off later this week on Friday October 13 and is shaping up to be a must-see for any comic fan.
Image Comics Panels
Image Comics is kicking things off on Friday, October 13 with three panels. These panels focus on upcoming projects, big announcements, and a few surprises. Here is what to expect on opening day:
- Image Comics Presents: The New Wave of Comics Storytelling, Character, and Talent – Rodney Barnes, Ryan Parrot, Charles Soule, Will Sliney, Ethan Sacks, and Naomi Sacks feature on this panel. These creators bring some special announcements for Image Comics’ upcoming projects. They also discuss genre, storytelling, industry secrets, and more.
- Geoff Johns & Gary Frank’s Mad Ghost: Building the Future – This panel is must-see for fans of Geiger and Junkyard Joe.
- Todd McFarlane Productions Spotlight Panel – Thomas Healy hosts a panel discussing all things Spawn and what is in store for next year.
The fun continues Saturday with three more panels from Image Comics. They include:
- Image Comics’ Giant Generator Imprint: Giant Generating Creator Owned Comics – Rick Remender speaks on his 25 years of experience making creator owned comics. Joining him is Jerome Opena, We Craig, Matteo Scalera, Max Fiumara, Greg Tochhini, and more.
- Image Comics’ Presents: Bone Chilling New Horror Comics to Read for Halloween – W. Maxwell Prince, Dustin Nguyen, Ram V, Alex De Campi, and Laurence Campbell bring the spooky to NYCC. These creators discuss crafting horror comics.
- Pete Townshend’s Life House/Who’s Next Panel – This panel discusses the creation of the new graphic novel based on Pete Townshend’s screenplay, Life House. Townshend joins artist Max Prentis, editor Hannah Means-Shannon, and Rockbox CEO Jeff Krelitz to bring you all the behind-the-scenes on crafting this new comic.
Even More Fun
Alongside these two days of panels, Image Comics is bringing several signings and exclusives to NYCC. Signings take place all weekend and feature the creators behind:

Meanwhile, the weekend will feature some exclusive merchandise from Image Comics’ properties. These include Massive-Verse screen prints and enamel pins and variant covers of several comics.
