Colorado Rep. Jason Crow said he would not hesitate to use impeachment against President Donald Trump if necessary. He framed impeachment as one of several tools Democrats could use to pursue accountability. His remarks followed questions about what Democrats might do if they regain power in Congress.
The exchange aired on CBS’s Face the Nation after the host cited comments from Maryland Rep. Jamie Raskin. She asked whether Democrats planned another impeachment push if they won control.
Crow answered that “the plan is for accountability” and pointed to his role in Trump’s first impeachment trial. He recalled warning senators that Trump was dangerous, unqualified, incompetent and corrupt.
From there, he described impeachment as “one tool of many” rather than the only option. “I won’t hesitate to use that tool if we need to,” Crow said.
He said the larger question was which available approach would produce results for accountability. The congressman did not commit to pursuing impeachment or identify a specific timetable.

Crow’s willingness to keep impeachment available sparked criticism over whether Democrats would again make removing Trump a priority.
“Impeachment is the new democrat tactic for republican presidents,” one user wrote. Another argued, “It’s the only plan or idea they have-impeachment. No plans or ideas to better our lives, just impeach everybody that disywith them.”
Others questioned what another impeachment attempt would achieve. “What will this accomplish, other than signalling their ‘virtue’ to their childish base?” one response stated. Another wrote, “And none of the so called anchors ask them what they want to accomplish besides impeaching Trump. They have no plan beyond that.”
Some responses backed efforts to remove Trump. “Getting rid of Trump IS working for the American people!” one user wrote. Another asked, “How dare they want to take a pedo protector out of the presidency!!!”
Crow has not committed to another impeachment proceeding. Whether Democrats pursue that option would depend on future circumstances and congressional control.
