While many of us are always happy to see delivery companies with our packages, the truth is that sometimes those delivering them can cause a lot of trouble for others. To give you an example, not long ago, a person in Indiana took a picture of a FedEx truck blocking a whole street while making a delivery. Typically, when common sense strikes a person, they park their vehicle to the side of the road, step outside, and deliver the packages to the customer’s door. Well, this FedEx employee thought it would be a good idea to leave the truck running in the middle of the street, affecting everyone around them.
This Reddit user shared the picture of a FedEx vehicle in the middle of the road. At first, it doesn’t seem as if the driver of the truck was doing anything wrong. However, they are because, according to the OP’s context, the driver got out of the car to deliver the package and, instead of parking like a normal person, left the vehicle running and blocking everyone on that road.
What makes things even worse is that, if you look at the picture, you can clearly see a lot of parking spots down that road, meaning this Indiana FedEx driver didn’t even bother to park and preferred to block the street. They just thought it would be faster to hit the handbrake, grab the package, deliver it, and return to the truck. Yet, they didn’t think about other people in that street and how it would affect them.
Furthermore, OP has a good point. They claim they were also FedEx employees for 10 years and never once saw any driver do something like this. While we’ve seen other delivery company employees pull off some strange things, such as throwing packages like frisbees or forgetting to put the brakes while they hand out the parcels, at least most of them park correctly.
As expected, this infuriated a lot of people who took their shot at the driver’s actions.
“These drivers are nuts,” said AgitatedPatience5729.
“You can’t park here, mate,” commented dmarve.
The best course of action here would be to call the company and report the vehicle. While the truck only stalled one driver, this is still a dangerous situation. We don’t even know if the driver put the vehicle’s handbrake on. Fortunately, it seems the FedEx car didn’t harm anyone, but it’s still an annoying situation, and one we hope doesn’t happen again.
