A local woman in Fort Wayne, Indiana was captured on video throwing her McDonald’s food order straight into the back of a manager’s head during a heated altercation. The incident reportedly occurred last Thursday, on 23 January 2025 in the W Washington Center Rd McDonald’s store near Ludwig Park.
The footage is recorded from the perspective of a patron who witnessed the argument. In it, a woman sporting red and pink pyjama bottoms, a large black hoodie, a pink beanie hat, holding a red Target bag can be seen tussling with a McDonald’s manager wearing a blue t-shirt and a purple beanie hat. As the clip begins, the manager is walking away from the woman in question, and is on the phone speaking to the police about the customer’s unruly conduct.
Suddenly, the irate customer throws her food order directly at the back of the manager’s head, yelling, “Yeah, b****!” The manager then springs into action, and attempts to stop the woman from leaving the premises through the store’s entry point. “You’re not leaving now. She just slammed food all over my face.” says the McDonald’s employee who is still speaking to the police on the phone. The member of staff then grabs hold of the woman’s hoodie and attempts to forcibly shepherd her back into the store to await for the police.
“Get off of me! Get off me!” shouts the woman, as another employee steps in and attempts to help her manager to calm the situation down. Together, they wrestle with the woman and drag her back to the store’s entrance. “Get back in my store now. Get the f*** in here!” yells the manager. The worker is even seen pulling on the woman’s hood, though another female employee enters the frame and can be seen encouraging her colleague to stop being so physical with the customer. “You’re not leaving my store now!” the manager exclaims. “You touched my food!” fires back the angry lady.
The disturbance continues to escalate further, and the exchange gets even more heated. As the manager persists in trying to wrestle the agitated woman back into the store, you can hear him yell, “I don’t care. You threw it in my f***ing face!” To this, the woman expresses, “And you touched my food I was going to take with me.” The McDonald’s store manager then declares, “You know you’re not leaving!“
After a few more moments, the footage then cuts to the lady sat outside the store on a curb side, with the manager holding onto the back of the woman’s black hoodie. “Let go of my coat! You’re getting sued!”
As the clip continues to pick up steam on social media platforms, the internet was quick to weigh in with their reactions to the heated altercation. Over on Reddit, one user pointed out:
In response to this comment, another netizen chimed in, penning, “Maybe. Getting assaulted at the beginning of the video probably changes things.“
Meanwhile, on another Reddit thread, another commenter added, “He held onto her with that Grimace grip“
While it remains unclear whether the police made an arrest following the incident, it’s clear that the altercation has sparked much online discussion about employee and customer rights, with the majority of commenters siding with the McDonald’s staff, though with some sympathising with the irate customer.
