Call of Duty: Modern Warfare may be the most anticipated Call of Duty title to release in quite some time. It seems that with each new bit of information or gameplay footage, the hype continues to increase for Infinity Ward’s upcoming FPS. The long-time developer has released new gameplay footage for Modern Warfare, spanning just over 24 minutes. You can see that 4K gameplay footage down below:

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 4K Multiplayer Gameplay

The 24-minute demo showcased many of the modes that we’ll see when the game releases in October. These include classics such as Team Deathmatch, Headquarters, and Domination. We also saw the new Cyber Attack game mode. Cyber Attack has the potential to be a fantastic addition to the multiplayer. It is similar to Search and Destroy but in Cyber Attack, you can revive your teammates, which adds an interesting twist on your typical “No Respawn” game type.

Other gameplay additions were displayed in this footage as well. Not only can you lean while aiming but you can also reload while aiming down sights. The removal of a mini-map/radar was on full display throughout these matches as well. This decision is going to be a divisive one amongst fans but it leads to one of Modern Warfare’s biggest selling points.

New exciting modes that could include up to 100 players, slick animations, improved visuals, and these fresh gameplay changes all give the Call of Duty franchise a much-needed facelift. For a long time, a section of gamers has criticized the franchise for a lack of innovation or meaningful change. Of course, we’ll have to wait until the game releases to officially judge how it is all put together but this footage leaves me optimistic for the future of this series.

Modern Warfare will release October 25th, 2019 for Xbox One, PS4, and Windows PC.
