You hear about officer-involved shootings, beatings, and all sorts of drama and incidents in between. Usually, it’s ICE in the headlines, but local and state police are determined to take back some of the spotlight in the wrong way. During a New York funeral procession for an officer, a cop lost control of his K-9, and it went poorly for a poor innocent woman as she found herself becoming a rogue attack dog’s chew toy and in agonizing pain.
In the video posted to PublicFreakout Reddit page by user and likely Dank Nation president I_May_Have_Weed, the police pull up to a procession in Suffolk County, and when they go to let the dog out. They lose control, and the K-9 runs around terrifying innocent pedestrians on the sidewalk before he pounces on a woman near a car and pounces on her back with a huge bite. She starts screaming in pain as the cops rush to get the dog off of her. Eventually, the chaos is over, but all they do is issue a half-hearted apology and show very little concern for the woman who paid the price for their lack of effort in controlling their dog.
This set off many folks in the comments, and here is what they had to say about the vicious bite.
“Literally just a dismissive hand wave as an apology for their dog attacking someone?”
“Yup. Because they don’t want to do the paperwork on an officer initiated attack.”

“How’s the cop gonna push them and tell them to back up as if it’s their fault the dog just attacked them?!”

Not much else is known at the moment about what will come next, but if you see a K-9 loose on the streets, it’s probably best to avoid it or risk becoming an NYC chew toy.
