Fashion taste differs from one person to another, but you know it’s bad when everyone agrees that an outfit is terrible. An insane California tennis player posted a video asking people on TikTok what should she wear for a player event that was happening on the same day. It’s safe to say that both outfit options were simply terrible. People in the comments agreed with this as well since they dragged the California tennis player’s outfit choices. I can see why.
In the video, the California tennis player states her name, Haley, and then she asks for people’s opinions. According to her, she had a player event that was happening in less than 30 minutes, and she still needed to pick an outfit. Both option one and option two weren’t that great. I think if there was an option three, it would have been the same. Not to mention that option two included a green cardigan that is honestly a fashion crime. This made people in the comments state their honest opinions.
People Reacting to the California Tennis Player’s Outfit Choices
People quickly dragged the California tennis player’s outfit choices. The options were so bad that one person wrote, “Girl just wear your tennis outfit.” Another viciously said, “Just read a book tonight.” One TikTok user also joked about the fact that the California tennis player was asking for opinions 30 minutes before the event. “You shoulda [sic] called us earlier.” Someone also commented on Haley’s hair as they wrote, “you said you had 30 mins.. how you gon do your hair that fast?” Aside from the dragging, one person actually offered advice as they wrote:
“Girl….. Let’s see what we can work out. Wear the green cardigan, NO undershirt, button it all the way to the second! Scrunch the sleeves a lil bit then the kitten heels with the jeans.”
Another girl tried to defend the California tennis player’s insane outfit choices. “Ya’ll are not ‘girls girls’ this whole comment section is just unnecessarily mean.” To which one replied by saying, “Exactly. Not everyone wants to be a ‘girls girl’ and lie. She asked and people aren’t being mean by telling her the fits aren’t cute. Nobody said anything bad about her appearance. Just the clothes.” In all honesty, she asked for people’s opinions, and they delivered, including one who went as far as to say, “Take us to the store with you.”
Responding to the Comments
The California tennis player then posted another video where she talked about all the comments dragging her. She said that 6 million people caring about jeans and a tank top is “silly.” Well, this wasn’t the right move because the dragging continued in this comment section too. “Girl you called us..,” one person wrote. Another said, “Didnt you ask us…?” One TikTok user even said, “You traumatized us.”
Haley then posted another video explaining why she chose these two outfits and that the function didn’t need her to dress up. Again, the dragging continued in this comment section. “Why did you ask for help?” one person asked. Another said, “MY CREW, LETS GO! She isn’t listening, nor does she want our advice. Leave her alone.” In the following videos posted by the California tennis player, some defended her, but there were still people criticizing her outfit choices. When she asked for advice in another video, few people offered to help. “Sure yeah whatever I’m not getting yelled at again,” one person wrote. Here is to hoping that she might take people’s advice or at least stop asking for advice if she isn’t going to accept it.
