A road rage incident in a parking lot in Omaha, Nebraska, quickly turned into an intense vehicular duel after a silver compact hatchback car decided it could take on an SUV by pretending to be on a bumper car except in a parking. The result was an expensive disaster for both parties and something that was caught on film.
The footage was captured by Reddit user Ozovio, who was merely just pulling out of a parking lot at 84th in Omaha around Julky 14 when he spotted a budding altercation between two vehicle owners. Hence, he quickly whipped out his phone and managed to capture one of the most raw instances of road rage and what happens if you decide to fight using vehicles:
The silver Toyota Yaris seems to have started the or escalated the fight after its owner decided to ram the back of the brown SUV. Sadly, the Toyota owner was at a huge disadvantage since not only were they driving the smaller vehicle, but they were also banking on the toughness of the car’s front bumper.
All the SUV had to do was reverse aggressively and crush the silver Toyota’s radiator. As some comments have pointed out, the white smoke coming out from the silver car’s crushed hood afterward was a bad indication of a damaged radiator and the car would most likely stall after a few minutes of chasing the SUV.
It’s not clear what happened after the incident (though it was clear who won the road rage), but the silver car presumably chased the SUV so the owner can press charges and attract police attention.
People Were More Worried About the Dog
For those who haven’t noticed it yet, there’s actually a dog on the backseat of the brown SUV and it certainly looked puzzled as to what was going on. All passengers and both drivers also appear to be safe given how the silver car chased the SUV afterward and how the SUV managed to drive away.
Meanwhile, people were also pointing out how childish the two drivers were except they’re driving real cars instead of bumper cars. Both were at fault for instigating and escalating the fight though the brown SUV driver was given the benefit of the doubt as some have assumed that he knew how to wreck the silver car’s radiator to end the road rage. Even so, he still took a heck of a gamble especially with their dog in the backseat.
“Silver car is most likely totaled. Hope it was worth it,” says MAGNUMXL
“The dog is the only one I feel sorry for,” worries JplusL2020
“That’s not a sh*tty car, that’s a Toyota Yaris, a surprisingly decent car for city driving. However, a road gladiator it is not,” jokes NotAzakanAtAll
