Insane New York Woman Blocks Brooklyn Bridge With Her Car to Ask People Where Is Her Mom: ‘I Would’ve Crashed Out So Badly’

At least she would do anything for her mom

A lot of strange things happen in New York, and naturally, people whip out their phones the moment they see something wild. That’s exactly how a now-viral video captured an unhinged New York woman blocking traffic on the Brooklyn Bridge.

The short clip showed her car parked sideways across the bridge, completely stopping traffic and preventing anyone from moving forward. As drivers honked and waited, you could hear her yelling, “Where is my mother?” twice, followed by, “Someone tell me where my mother is!”

The video then cut to a shot of the woman holding a sign that read, “My mom was kidnapped! NYPD towed her car and won’t release it!”

So according to her, the police took both her mother and her car?

The New York woman then launched into a full-on rant directed at the drivers she was blocking. “Does anyone have a heart? Are you all heartless? Does anyone have a soul? Did you sell it for their greed? For their capitalism?” she shouted. “You wanna make America great again? The only people who it’s great for is the rich. The rich get richer and they pick up the rest of us.”

As she yelled, the video panned to show the massive line of cars behind her, with some drivers stepping out to film the chaos. Some people might agree with her message about the rich and capitalism, but the way she chose to deliver it only left commuters stuck, frustrated, and late for whatever they needed to do.

Hopefully, she was able to reunite with her mother, assuming she truly couldn’t find her in the first place.

People Reacting to the Insane New York Woman’s Rant

People were divided on whether to support the New York woman’s actions or criticize her. Those who were upset called her insane and said that they wouldn’t have stayed still like those drivers in the video. “I would’ve crashed out so badly,” one person wrote. Others commented on the fact that the woman had an Audi but still yelled about capitalism. “Mind you. She beefing about capitalism in an Audi……..,” another person said. Since she was a Black woman, someone wrote in support of her, “The measures that black women have to go to be heard…and ppl in the comments laughing SMDH.” This made a Black woman reply and share her opinion as she said:

“Yea, she’s the joke! Someone could be sitting in that backed up traffic having a medical emergency, on their last strike from showing up to work late and close to being fired, amongst so many other realistic things happening, all because this lady wants to play.”

On the other hand, several commenters took the New York woman’s claims seriously. “I’m all for individual protest! WHERE IS HER MOTHER!?!?” one person asked. Another wrote, “A lot of complaints but no one is actually curious if her mother actually got kidnapped by the NYPD?”

But not everyone bought into the story. One TikTok user suggested the woman wasn’t well, commenting, “I mean she’s blaming capitalism for her mother disappearing, so my assumption is she is insane.”

Others were more amused or baffled by the logistics of her stunt. “Blocking the Brooklyn Bridge is crazy work,” someone pointed out.

If nothing else, the moment proved that if there’s a will, there’s a way, even if that way involves shutting down one of the busiest bridges in New York City.
