Grand Theft Auto 6 (GTA 6) is probably one of the biggest titles on the video game horizon by a long shot. GTA V broke every single record not only in the gaming industry but in the entire entertainment landscape. So there’s been a lot of speculation about when GTA 6 will finally hit the shelves. However, an insider believes that whenever the game comes out, it might not be available in the same way as older games from Rockstar. It seems that some game elements might be kept back for future DLC releases, which is also known as launch-DLC, not something that gamers are too keen on. It’s not surprising that fans are eagerly anticipate the game’s release, given that its predecessor is turning ten this year and is starting to show its age.
The closest anyone got to seeing the game was in late 2022 when leaked gameplay footage showed an unfinished version of the game that was not ready for marketing, and this caused quite a lot of controversy. While some people thought the game looked janky, it was supposed to, as it is still in development and hasn’t even been announced yet.

Insider Says GTA 6 Will Hold Back Content for DLC
Insider Tez2 believes that Rockstar might not be ready to release GTA 6 until 2024 or even 2025; moreover, according to the leaker, the developer could cut portions of the game and release them as DLC after the launch of the base game. This could make sense if it was being done to avoid further delays in the game’s launch. But if the additional content is paid DLC and takes away from the base game at launch, fans might not be too happy about it. Of course, being a leak, Rockstar or any other official source has not confirmed or denied this information.
Tez2 is known for their GTA leaks and was recently part of speculations that the game is almost complete and in the polishing phase. Which could take one to two years by itself. But, as with any rumors, it’s essential to take this information with a grain of salt.
