There are many tragic stories in the media nowadays, so it’s a good reminder every once in a while that there is also more heartwarming content in the world. A young Indiana boy was filmed getting ready for a special ten-year-old birthday fishing trip with his grandfather, and the internet can’t get enough of it.

While the video is downright wholesome, it’s also a reminder to spend time with your loved ones as often as you possibly can, especially present grandparents. Commenters definitely agreed in the replies below, with one person acknowledging it as a “core memory.”

The video already starts great with the young boy meticulously packing his things into a suitcase the night before his trip, apparently spending more than two hours to ensure he had everything. He even woke up at 4:45 a.m. the following morning to ask whether his grandfather had arrived to pick him up.

After a clip of the grandfather’s truck with his boat in tow, a clip of the boy reeling in a fish follows. The boy’s grandfather then lets him drive the boat and asks him what he likes most about that, to which the boy replied, “Just feeling the air on my face.”

The replies didn’t just consist of people who applauded the relationship between the boy and his grandfather; some brands commented. One of the very top comments comes from Vrbo, and it reads, “For their next adventure, what about a beachfront vacation? We’d love to send them on a fishing trip 💙🥹.”

Another comment from Bass Pro Shops says, “You’ll never regret a fishing trip! Check your DMs! ❤️.” It appears as though more brands are continuing to leave comments like this behind.

Comments and Reactions to Wholesome Indiana Boy

Everyone agreed that this trip would absolutely become a memory that the boy will remember for the rest of his life. Some comments even noted the small gestures that the boy did throughout the video, with one reading, ” He filled his tackle box with apples and string cheese” You mean he packed snacks for the two of them, as was his responsibility. New guy brings the snacks.”

Similarly, another commenter wrote, “That last picture! 😩 I just burst into tears. He looks so happy!“

As the video continues to spread across TikTok, viewers have continued celebrating the special bond between the young boy and his grandfather, with many saying the heartfelt moment reminded them to cherish time with their own loved ones.
