An Oklahoma woman’s TikTok video is drawing attention online wherein she visited a Tex-Mex restaurant for food, only to be served by a single person.
“Taco Bueno DO BETTER!!!!!!” TikTok user Justme_mp, Samantha, wrote in the caption of her video. On social media, her video managed to reach the right eyes, bringing forth a mountain of support for the lone Taco Bueno employee.
“I hope they know how lucky they are to have you for you doing this all by yourself,” TikToker Samantha says in her video. In the back of the Taco Bueno restaurant, a single employee is handling the order, the cooking, the drive-thru, and the serving. “I pray that you get raises and people to help—district manager and everything, bud,” Samantha says to the employee.
According to Samantha, Bobby (the employee) had about “over 10” customers that day and didn’t once act like he was “struggling.” When Samantha admitted to Bobby she’d have quit, his response was, with tears in his eyes, “I got bills to pay”—a sentiment shared by most of the U.S. can relate, too.
“Please either recognize this angel or someone give him a better job!” Samantha wrote in the caption of her TikTok video.
And it’s clear by the response, viewers certainly did. At the behest of a viewer online, it was suggested Samantha start a GoFundMe for Bobby. She did exactly that, which is aptly titled: ‘Backing Bobby’s Bright Future.’

At the same time Samantha was creating Bobby’s GoFundMe page (and with his help), her original video attracted commenters who owned businesses, too. Several viewers shared that they were hiring and shared details online.
“I’m hiring! Plz reach out to me,” one viewer wrote. “I need cooks and carhops.”
Another commenter went above and beyond, stating they were hiring and would “swing by later” to speak with Bobby. Samantha alluded to this in an update comment, saying someone did “offer him a job” but Bobby wasn’t working at the time. To rectify this, she said she’d get details on his schedule, so people can catch him when he’s available.
And apparently, this wasn’t the first time Bobby worked all on his own. “I go here often and he is always the only one working. He is always so kind too. ♥️”
Viewers on Samantha’s TikTok video are still reaching out, whether it’s to offer Bobby a job or to ask for the GoFundMe link. Hopefully Bobby gets the second chance he clearly deserves—or at least a very fat raise. But equally important is how helpful social media can be when it isn’t used for evil.
