Given today’s economic challenges, it’s not uncommon to see people driving vehicles that are barely holding together. With repair costs climbing and new cars out of reach for many, some are left to make do with what they have, no matter how unsafe it might be. One Tennessee man recently proved just how bad things can get when his truck went viral for all the wrong reasons. In a video shared online, he claimed that his brakes had completely failed, forcing him to drive at around 15 miles per hour and roll through two red lights because he couldn’t stop. “I’ve got my foot all the way down,” he said in disbelief. “I can’t stop at all.”
In another video, the Tennessee man claimed that he was close to hitting a tree if it weren’t for the mud stopping his truck. It’s not clear if the truck’s brakes don’t work or not, as he claimed, but that’s not the only issue with it. When someone told him he should have lain on the horn, he let the audience know why he didn’t do that.
Well, his horn basically sounds like a flute. He was right in saying that people would laugh at him instead of helping. If you thought it couldn’t get worse, it does. When someone offered another advice that involved taking the key out of the ignition, he showed why this wasn’t possible. There is no key. He starts his truck using a screwdriver. If his truck is as bad as he says, then he definitely needs help.
People Reacting to the Tennessee Man’s Horrendous Truck
Since almost everyone believed that the Tennessee man’s truck was that terrible, they had a lot to say about its condition. “This a damn death mobile,” one person wrote, which is a valid statement. Others wanted to donate to the guy so that he could get a new truck, as someone else said, “baby start a go fund me these videos are frying me.” Another person then replied and wrote, “I will fr donate cause damn.” Some people commented on how he started filming instead of calling the cops to help him. “This is actually so funny that the first thing to do wasn’t call 911,” one woman wrote. This made him explain and say, “baby i don’t call the cops. I ain’t got no insurance lmao.” Can the police arrest the truck?
It turned out that the Tennessee man’s experience with his truck wasn’t that unique because one woman shared her own. “This is exactly the car I bought for $600 and drove for years. Just sat on snow in the winter bc the windows didn’t exist, started it with a hammer, and the doors didn’t unlock but that was ok bc the windows let me in real easy,” she said. The guy then revealed more issues with his vehicle as he wrote, “bro this is me, i bought this for $500 and i have no power steering or a passenger window or taillights. Now apparently no brakes. But i open my doors from the inside too.” You couldn’t pay me $500 to drive either of those vehicles.
