While road rage is quite common throughout the US, according to a 2024 report from Forbes, California is the number one state in the country when it comes to road rage incidents. Recently, a man was caught on camera threatening a driver with a taser during a road incident in Santa Rosa, California and the footage is circulating online right now.
Posted to TikTok by user @yourgirlkayannaa, the 11-second clip reportedly occurred to the OP’s friend, and sees an elderly man brandishing a taser and threatening a driver and passenger with it. The man, who is wearing a red short-sleeved shirt and sporting sunglasses can be seen stood outside near a vehicle’s open window. In his right hand, he’s holding a black taser, and the driver and passenger in the car can be heard exclaiming, “Do it! Do it!” as they bravely stand their ground.
The irate California man can be seen switching on the taser, as you can hear the crackling sound of the electricity pulsing through the device as he waves it around inside the cabin of the vehicle. Fortunately, he doesn’t actually make contact with the people inside the car, but he beckons them out with a hand gesture and threatens, “Come out of the car and I’ll do it. You’re a f*cking p*ssy! You’re the p*ssy in the car.” before walking away from the altercation.
Specific details regarding the buildup before the road rage incident took place remain unclear at the time of writing, though the TikTok description that accompanies the clip states, “IN SANTA ROSA, CA” along with some laughing emojis, and some hashtags like “#roadrage” and “#boomer”, which help give a little more detail to the video.
Due to the shocking nature of the video, comments from all around the internet have come pouring in. On TikTok, many joked about the angry man’s appearance, as he does resemble Santa Claus because of his white hair and white beard. One person wrote, “Santa needs to chill” while another chipped in, “He was much nicer when he was duetting with Dolly Parton.” Elsewhere, some of the comments that came in were a little more serious, and accused the man of potential assault, with one penning, “This is actually considered battery and menacing with a weapon, btw. You could have him arrested 100%” and another correcting this commenter, stating, “Assault* not battery but yea should deff press charges“.
Thankfully, no one was reportedly hurt, though it’s unclear whether the police were called due to the incident.
