Normally, when you’re part of a vehicular accident, the process is to pull over, talk to those involved, and wait for the insurance company to arrive. However, one driver in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, has shown us what you should not do during one of these situations. Someone on Reddit caught a video of a minor vehicle collision where one of the two men involved got so angry that he started smashing his car. As you can imagine, this might not have sat well with the insurance company or those around him.
Reddit user OtherCow2841 shared the video on the r/PublicFreakout subreddit. In it, we can see two men on the side of the road in what seems to be the aftermath of a vehicular collision. The man with the hat storms out of his car and shuts the driver’s door. The ones filming seem to be teasing the man, saying things like, “you need to leave,” mockingly.
Soon after, the man with the hat starts smashing his car’s window until it breaks and then proceeds to headbutt the car’s hood. I know this may sound a bit strange, but you can look at the video to see it for yourself.
If the man had been waiting for the insurance company, which seemed to be the case, he might have had to say goodbye to the insurance claim. The windshield and hood were unscathed before the accident, but since this Pittsburgh driver decided to go berserk, things got a lot worse.
“Great way to ensure that you won’t be able to get your insurance.” – SofiaOfEverRealm via Reddit.
“I feel bad for the dude he just crashed into. Imagine standing there trying to get insurance information, watching this.” – FeHive via Reddit.
The fun part about this, at least for viewers, is how calm and collected the other one involved was. At a glance, it would seem that this person was minding his own business in the correct lane when the irate driver crashed into the vehicle. Then again, this is just pure speculation, as there isn’t any footage prior to the man’s rageful incident.
At the moment, it is uncertain how this situation ended, but we can imagine it wasn’t great for the one who trashed his vehicle. I bet the insurance agent saw the footage and realized not even a miracle would help the angry commuter.
