The critically acclaimed RTS Iron Harvest has seen universal critical acclaim over this past year, which makes today’s news nothing of a surprise. Iron Harvest’s first paid DLC, Rusviet Revolution, is now available on Steam, GOG, and Epic through the game’s Deluxe Edition. You can also pick the DLC up on its own for $3.99, or for free if you were a Kickstarter backer. If you want a quick taste of the political rivalries and massive battles on offer, check out the launch trailer below.
In our real world, there was surprisingly an actual Russian revolution about 100 years ago. That revolution ended rather quickly though when the Red Army stopped them at the battle of the Krim. When it comes to Iron Harvest’s universe though, that battle was never a thing. That is, until the current timeline. Across the DLC’s four new single-player missions, you’ll work to put an end to the Rusviet rebellion against the Tsar. All the while, you must discover exactly what the persuasive Rasputin has planned for the future of the country. Rusviet Revolution promises to offer quite a bit for such a small price, so hopefully, it lives up to that promise.
It’s an exciting time to be an Iron Harvest player, with plenty to come in the new year. To celebrate where Iron Harvest’s come so far though, KING Art Games had this to say:
The exciting year of 2020 is coming to an end. Even though the year offered more negative news than positive, the team at KING Art Games is happy to have successfully launched their baby Iron Harvest to a loving and motivated community. With weekly improvements, fixes, new maps and a coop campaign, Iron Harvest continues to expand. Over 22 million mechs were built, but only 15.5 million survived long enough to become veterans. But with over 24 million captured resource points, new ones are surely being assembled. Stay tuned for more news over the holiday period, including special opportunities to win unique winter themed cosmetics.”
