Is the Express Supply Pass in Honkai: Star Rail worth your hard-earned money? It’s a common player practice to spend real-world cash to conveniently procure valuable resources like Star Rail Passes and Stellar Jade. Although the game isn’t completely pay-to-play, purchasing things like Nameless Glory or the Express Supply Pass grants a large advantage over free-to-play Trailblazers. The Express Supply Pass specifically comes with some major rewards for an affordable price. Due to this, Honkai Star Rail‘s Express Supply Pass may be worth it for players who want to obtain most of the game’s characters.

In Honkai: Star Rail, players can obtain new items by spending Star Rail Passes for a chance to receive a Light Cone or character. To buy one pass, players will need to grind 160 of Honkai Star Rail’s Stellar Jade. This Jade can be obtained for free by playing the game. However, players have the option to spend money to receive more of it. One of the cheapest and easiest options in Honkai Star Rail is buying the Express Supply Pass. In terms of Stellar Jade, this investment is worth the cost. Despite this, stalwart free-to-play players shouldn’t find too much difficulty receiving the characters they want. Still, they won’t get a chance at every character like pay-to-play Trailblazers have in Honkai Star Rail.

For players wondering if Honkai: Star Rail’s Express Supply Pass is worth it, the microtransaction costs $4.99 to make it active for 30 days. Once activated, Trailblazers will receive 300 Oneiric Shards, Honkai: Star Rail’s paid currency, and 90 Stellar Jade every day when logging in. This equals a total of 2,700 Stellar Jade over the 30-day period. To put this into perspective, purchasing 300 Oneiric Shards alone will cost the player $4.99.

In terms of sheer value, the pass provides not only the same amount of the paid resource but also an additional sum of 2,700 Stellar Jade. This total equates to a $30 value in terms of Oneiric Shards. This Stellar Jade amounts to just about 17 Star Rail Passes, which is a large sum for a month and only five dollars.

The Pass Provides Many Rewards Over Free-To-Play Players

To put the value of 17 extra Star Rail Passes into perspective, players make around 60 Stellar Jade from completing the daily quest, Daily Training. Honkai: Star Rail’s pay-to-play Trailblazers will receive 150 Primogems in total from both Daily Training and the Express Supply Pass. Over a year, a free-to-play player will earn 21,900 daily Stellar Jade from simple login tasks, while a pay-to-play player will earn 54,750. This equates to around 136 and 342 Star Rail Passes, respectively, which is over double the amount for only five dollars a month.

To obtain a 50% chance of receiving a banner character through pity, a player will need to use 90 Star Rail Passes. Using 180 passes will guarantee that they will receive the featured character. Despite there being many other avenues to receive Star Rail Passes and Stellar Jade, Honkai Star Rail’s Express Supply Pass is worth the investment.

Players Won’t Struggle Without The Pass

On the other hand, Honkai Star Rail’s Express Supply Pass is not worth it for those unable to log in daily to claim their rewards. If a player misses a day of their pass, they will miss out on the 90 Stellar Jade for that day and have no way to obtain it. Players who purchase the pass should make an effort to log in at least briefly to grab their rewards. Additionally, most free-to-play players don’t struggle to get the characters they are looking for with the Stellar Jade, which is available for free.

Like Genshin Impact, Honkai Star Rail should provide many events, giveaways, codes, quests, and more that should amount to around 60-90 Star Rail passes per patch cycle. Although this is currently speculation, free-to-play players don’t need to worry about missing out on their favorite characters. They will get around one chance for a 5-star every few banners. Ultimately, it comes down to personal preference whether someone wants to purchase Honkai Star Rail’s Express Supply Pass or not. However, from a purely money-based standpoint, it is worth the cost.
