It’s a good time to be a fan of cozy games, with more options than ever to scratch the relaxing gameplay itch. Moonstone Island offers cute characters and a ton of side activities, but with so much to do, it can be overwhelming by yourself. While some cozy games are happy to open the world up for multiplayer, letting you argue about crop rotations and milking schedules with your friends, others keep it a solo affair. You’ll have steeper hills to climb if you’re going it alone, but the rewards are all the sweeter for your efforts. Here’s what you need to know about whether Moonstone Island is multiplayer or not.
Does Moonstone Island Have Co-Op Mode?
(Updated on August 28, 2024 – updated intro, links, and format)
There are many reasons why cozy games are so popular, but the most important one is that they allow players to have a peaceful experience for a couple of hours and not worry too much. What could make that experience better? Hanging out with your friends at the same time as well. Unfortunately, there’s no co-op or multiplayer in Moonstone Island at the moment. It’s exclusively a single-player game.
That could always change, of course. Stardew Valley, one of the best cozy games of all time, didn’t have a multiplayer mode when it was released but added one later. It’s a bummer that you can’t explore the island and take on its challenges with friends, but there’s still plenty of fun to be had here solo. Even if the devs never expand upon the game to let our friends join, it won’t detract much from the experience.
