The hype for Hogwarts Legacy is even higher than we expected. Many people are playing the game and exploring every nook and cranny of the iconic school. Some veteran fans of the Wizarding World material have noticed some easter eggs here and there. Some have found some well-known bloodlines in the game that we all know from the movies. Matilda Weasley is one of them who is part of the iconic family from the films. Those choosing Hufflepuff as their house will also notice a familiar name during the first main missions of the game. Is Newt Scamander in Hogwarts Legacy?
Sadly, no. Newt Scamander is not in Hogwarts Legacy. While many were expecting more characters to make an appearance here, the game is trying to keep it as original as possible. Yet, that isn’t the whole reason. The real reason why Newt Scamander isn’t in Hogwarts Legacy is that he wasn’t born yet. This iconic character was born on February 24, 1897. While the game is set during these years, it would be almost impossible to see him in the game as he wouldn’t have the age to attend Hogwarts.
This doesn’t mean you won’t see any familiar characters around the school though. You’ll see an iconic ghost in some missions, which is something great for those who grew up watching the films. This is excellent as it is an amazing nod for people who are fans of the whole universe that began with Harry Potter. So, there is no reason to feel sad about just having original characters.
