Fuecoco, the fiery sensation from Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, has descended upon the world of Pokemon Go. As part of the Adventures Abound season, Niantic has introduced this beloved Fire-type creature to the mobile game. While Fuecoco’s availability may change over time, there are ample opportunities to encounter and train it for now. Whether you stumble upon it in the wild, hatch it from an egg, or complete research tasks, the burning question remains: Is Shiny Fuecoco in Pokemon Go?
Can Fuecoco Be Shiny in Pokemon Go?
Unfortunately, the answer is no. Shiny Fuecoco isn’t in Pokemon Go — yet. This doesn’t mean this fan-favorite Pokemon Scarlet and Violet starter won’t ever come in its Shiny form in Pokemon Go. Despite the increased odds of encountering Fuecoco in Pokemon Go during the ongoing event, there isn’t a Shiny one. However, there is a pattern to follow, and we can expect Shiny Fuecoco in Pokemon Go in one of the future community day events.
How To Catch Fuecoco in Pokemon Go
If you haven’t added Fuecoco to your Pokedex in the Pokemon Go A Paldean Adventure Special Research from Sept. 5 to Sept. 10, don’t worry; there are a few other chances left to catch it:
- Ultra Unlock: Paldea Event (Sept. 10 – Sept. 15): Even after the A Paldean Adventure event, you still have increased odds of encountering Fuecoco during the Ultra Unlock: Paldea event.
- Adventure Abound Special Research (Sept. 5 – Dec. 1): Logging into the game between these dates grants you a Special Research task. Completing the Fuecoco-focused branch of this task will reward you with the Fire-type starter.
- Wild Encounters: Starting from Sept. 5, Fuecoco can be found in the wild. Use Incense and explore various locations to increase your chances of encountering Fuecoco.
- Eggs (7km Eggs): Hatching 7km Eggs obtained during the A Paldean Adventure event can yield Fuecoco and other Paldean starters. You can obtain these Eggs by opening gifts from in-game friends.
- Field Research Encounters: Fuecoco is a reward encounter through Field Research tasks. Pokemon encountered this way have a higher IV floor of 10/10/10, increasing your chances of obtaining a strong Fuecoco.
- 5km Egg Hatch Pool (Until Dec. 1): Fuecoco is included in the 5km Egg hatch pool. Any regular 5km Egg you hatch until Dec. 1 has a chance to be Fuecoco.
- Weather Boost: Fuecoco’s spawn rate increases in specific weather conditions, particularly sunny weather. Use items like Lure Modules, Incense, and the Weather Boost effect to further boost its spawn rate. Stack these effects around Pokemon Go Gyms and PokeStops to maximize your chances.
