Jackie Goldschneider of RHONJ is opening up about how she feels about her demotion, which gave her a new role. The Bravo star debuted in the show’s ninth season but made a surprise appearance in season 13 as a friend. Continue scrolling to find out what Jackie feels about her new role.
Jackie Reveals How She Felt About RHONJ’s Demotion
Speaking honestly about her new position, RHONJ‘s Jackie Goldschneider felt hurt. Specifically, she said it was hard to get back amid her fellow housewives as the eighth person in line. She added that then she was at the center of attention.
“So to be the eighth person in line, that was, like, a little bit of an ego punch,” Jackie said during an exclusive interview on Us Weekly‘s Getting Real with the Housewives podcast on Thursday, February 9.
While Jackie felt she bruised her ego at first, she also admitted that there was not much difference in now being a “friend.”
Why RHONJ’s Jackie Was Demoted
Jackie has admitted to loving the reality show; however, she could not handle a full role during the season 13 casting process.
This was due to her eating disorder which she is gradually recovering from. Still speaking about her demotion, RHONJ‘s Jackie Goldschneider revealed that adjusting to her new role was a little bit rough.
She stated that the adjustment was rough because she did not first understand what to do as a “friend.” However, when she got the hang of everything, she stopped feeling like she was doing a different job.
“I did my job the same as I always have done,” she admitted. In addition, she noted that she was in every scene and gave her opinion on everything while constantly having cameras on her.
Jackie Does Not Feel Replaced By New Housewives
Jackie does not think Rachel Fuda and Danielle Cabral, two new Housewives who joined RHONJ for its 13th season, were there to replace her. She stated that the newcomers are different from her because she is her “own person” regardless of the role.
Jackie may have taken on a new position that appears to be a demotion. But immediately, she took her ego off the picture; she admitted it became one of her best seasons.
