Jax Taylor and Tom Sandoval’s relationship on Vanderpump Rules was like one out of a movie. The pair, who were also bartenders at Lisa Vanderpump’s SUR, were best buds until they weren’t. Thanks to the show, different alliances, and outside noise, they had a falling out during Season 8. And if you’re an avid Pump Rules watcher, you know things weren’t the same after.
However, Jax surprised the Bravoverse in October 2024 when he shared that the two were back on good terms. After discussing his time in an inpatient center, Jax said that Sandy had been checking up on him. “I was shocked because I [hadn’t] heard from Tom in a long time, and now I probably talk to Tom three or four times a week.”
Although Jax Taylor and Tom’s rekindled friendship is a good thing, it was a shocking announcement considering Taylor’s previous comments after Tom’s salacious affair. ICYMI, Sandoval was exposed for having a months-long affair with his then-girlfriend’s best friend, Raquel Leviss. Jax slammed him, saying the “whole world has talked sh*t about you.” But now, Jaxy Boy is singing a different tune.
Jax Taylor Thinks Tom Sandoval Deserves Grace From the Public After Fixing Their Relationship
During an episode of the So Bad it’s Good with Ryan Bailey podcast, Jax shared more details about his rekindled relationship with Tom. After revealing they’ve been chatting more and more, Taylor admitted he was “shocked” by Tom’s outreach.
“Like, during my stay … people were checking in with me,” Jax said. “But the one that stood out the most to me was Tom Sandoval.” He continued, saying the pair have been “best friends for many, many years” before mentioning his affair, known as Scandoval to fans.
“Obviously [his affair] was a very, very big thing,” Jax explained. “And we had to take a break a little bit from our friendship.” However, The Valley star noted that Sandoval took a break “from a lot of friendships.” But overall, he believes “time heals all wounds.”
Jax also had an interesting statement about the backlash Tom has continued to receive from the Bravosphere. “I think we’re all human; we all make mistakes,” he said. “He’s always going to be my best friend. [He] and Tom Schwartz are my best friends, and I love them to death.”
“And, like I said, I think it’s time to move on. I really do.”
So, what’s next for the now-reinstated best friends? Bravo fans will just have to wait and see.
