Jen Shah was recently spotted for the first time since her imprisonment. The former Real Housewives of Salt Lake City actress had not been photographed since she started her sentence. Only recently, some photos were released showing Jen in a prison uniform. The former TV personality started her six-year prison term in Bryan Federal Prison Camp, Texas. She has been locked up for three months and was only recently spotted since then. Here is what Jen looks like these days.
How Did Jen Shah Look On Bein Spotted For The First Time?
The 49-year-old was spotted with a fellow inmate walking in the yard of the Bryan Federal Prison Camp in Texas. In photos obtained by Page Six, the two ladies wore beige prison uniforms and seemed to be deep in conversation. Although Jen had been locked up for three months, she looked flawless. The photos showed her rocking a pair of gold studs and glasses with her brunette hair tied back in a ponytail.
Before she was spotted by the outlet, Jen Shah’s assistant took over the Bravolebrity’s Instagram page due to her absence. He recently revealed that the mother-of-two was doing phenomenal at the camp. He shared that Jen looked beautiful, with glowing skin and great hair.
It seems like Jen has been keeping up with her beauty routine. However, she has also been making an effort to stay in a fitting shape. The TV personality has even started teaching fitness classes thrice a week at the minimum security camp. Being a fitness instructor has also earned her the nickname Jen Fonda.
Details Leading Up To Jen Shah’s Imprisonment?
Real Housewives star Jen Shah pleaded guilty to committing wire fraud by defrauding thousands of victims in a telemarketing scheme in July 2022. Originally, Jen was arrested in March 2021. However, she vehemently denied the allegations for months before finally coming clean last year.
On February 17, 2023, the reality star was able to get her prison sentence reduced by a year. The Bravo star is to be released on August 30, 2028. She is also to pay $6.5 million in restitution. Federal authorities are inclined to pay off part of the debt using some of Jen’s jewelry.
The OG housewife also seems to be having a hard time paying her lawyer, Priya Chaudhry. In April, Chaudhry alleged that Jen and her husband, Sharrieff Shah, owe her legal fees and some expenses, which amounted to $124,422.95. The lawyer also requested to drop her as a client. She claimed that the couple had repeatedly promised to pay up but are yet to do so. The couple is yet to address Chaudhry’s claims since Jen Shah’s imprisonment.
