After Jen Shah’s telemarketing fraud case ruled her guilty, she was sentenced to nearly seven years in prison. But sources confirmed that she may not have to complete the original jail term.
Jen Shah’s telemarketing fraud case made the “Real Housewives” star more popular. It sufficed barely a year after she joined the “Real Housewives of Salt Lake City.”
In 2021, the authorities nabbed Shah and Stuart Smith and charged them with fraudulent crimes. They had conspired to commit wire fraud with telemarketing. After a failed attempt to get the court to dismiss the case, Shah pleaded guilty.
Barely a year after the guilty plea, the court signed off on Jen Shah’s prison sentence. She was sentenced to 78 months behind bars in a Texas facility. Some people who witnessed the trial maintained her sentence was light. Another commended the court for allowing justice to prevail even though she is famous.
Since then, Shah has shown remorse by apologizing to her victims, family, and fans. Last month, she reported to FPC Bryan, a camp for women with minimum security. But after spending one month in the facility, there is hope for a shorter prison time.

Jen Shah’s Prison Sentence For Telemarketing Fraud Case Will Not Last For 78 Months
Though the court ruled Jen Shah‘s telemarketing fraud case guilty and gave a 6.5 sentence, there is a new development. Unfiltered sources from the Federal Bureau of Prisons’ inmate database claim she would be set free sooner.
According to the details, the 49-year-old will be a free bird on Aug. 30, 2028. One year has been chopped off her initial sentence. Simultaneously, her lawyer confirmed that Shah is dedicated to restitution.
The attorney added:
“She has initiated her payments towards restitution, and we hope to have her home as soon as possible so that she may resume life with her family and work, putting this chapter of her life behind her.”
Before joining her family, Shah has to deal with adapting to prison, which is very different from home. Earlier in the month, sources reported that she had it rough settling into prison.
The disgraced reality TV star confessed she missed the outside world and her husband and kids. Surprisingly, Shah, who gets emotional thinking of family, also tries to keep a positive attitude. Sometimes, the optimism gets her through the day.
