Jenelle Evans‘ ex, Nathan Griffith, is working on piecing his life back together after a tumultuous year. The Ashley reports that last year, the former Teen Mom personality pleaded guilty to strangling his sister during an altercation. His case was moved to Clark County, Nevada’s Veteran’s Treatment Court, which takes into consideration his past in the United States Marine Corps. After time in rehab last month, Nathan is taking the next step forward.
Nathan Has Found a New Place to Call Home
Nathan Griffith, who shares 9-year-old son Kaiser with ex Jenelle Evans, completed a stay in rehab last month, The Ashley reports. Now, he’s been accepted into a group home in Las Vegas that serves homeless veterans and veterans who are at risk of becoming homeless.
With this new advancement, Nathan — who is also currently battling cancer — will start to live with other veterans in similar situations, some of whom are also in recovery. Sobriety, treatment, and consent to random drug testing are conditions of his stay. Nathan is given the option between pursuing an education or working. He returns to court for a check-in later this month.
Nathan Hasn’t Seen Kaiser, Who Lives with Mom Jenelle, in Over a Year
In a TikTok video shared last July, Nathan Griffith criticized himself as a “bad father.” He admitted to not seeing Kaiser in over a year. Nathan then said it had been longer since he’d seen his other child, daughter Emery. Nathan’s difficult relationship with Jenelle was documented throughout her time on Teen Mom.
I’m not in a position to go to court. I just want what’s best for my son. That’s all I want.
Nathan Griffith, regarding custody of Kaiser
Nathan reflected on fatherhood in a recent Instagram post, sharing a compilation of funny parenting clips of kids accidentally hurting their parents. The father of two didn’t reference Jenelle or his other ex as he talked about his parenting perspectives.
To me, this has always been a gift. Yes, it’s might be irritating and frustrating at times but honestly, they’re innocent and do not mean any harm by it. Be kind, be patience and always show your kids love. Be hard but gentle, be loving but not afraid to respectfully discipline them, be protective but not overbearing and show them the difference between right and wrong. Our world is really messed up! As a parent, it is YOUR JOB to guide them and show them the difference. YOU run the family NOT them.

Kaiser has maintained a stable home with Jenelle — who is also mom to daughter Ensley and son Jace — despite her own tumultuous year. Despite struggling regarding custody issues and relationship woes, Jenelle currently has custody of all three kids.
