Jenelle Evans has had a very transformative year. Not only is she moving on from her marriage to David Eason, but she’s also returning to reality TV. The returning Teen Mom talent is also considering other changes in her life as she settles into life as a single mom of three. Though she’s been a longtime North Carolinian, fondly calling her family’s home and surrounding area “The Land,” Jenelle is setting her sights further south.
A Visit to Briana DeJesus Has Jenelle Considering A Move
TMZ reports that Jenelle Evans is eager for a fresh start for her family. After spending some time in Florida last week — where she was spotted with her Teen Mom castmate, Briana DeJesus — sources close to Jenelle say she’s considering a move to the sunshine state.
The sources believe Jenelle is eager to move as soon as this summer. They do say that one thing holding her back is her divorce proceedings, which should be finalized later this year or early next year.
Jenelle Hasn’t Shared Her Plans With David
Sources have also told TMZ that the lines of communication between Jenelle Evans and David Eason have been cut. The two haven’t spoken directly in months, which makes it unlikely she’s shared any ideas about relocating with her co-parent.
There’s also mom Barbara, who helped Jenelle raise oldest son Jace, 14, throughout his life. Barbara has court-ordered visitation of Jace, though it’s unclear if any of this would come into play should Jenelle choose to move.
The Reality Star’s TV Future is Also Unclear
Jenelle Evans has been a longtime mainstay on MTV and her return is welcome by some Teen Mom fans. It’s unclear, however, how long her return will last. She’s not listed as part of the main cast of Teen Mom: The Next Chapter. Her participation this season has, thus far, been billed as a “special appearance.”
Between castmates and viewers, it’s uncertain how well-received Jenelle’s return will be. It’s possible MTV is testing the waters. It’s also possible that Jenelle is seeing what other options are available for her own next chapter.
