Jenelle Evans has never been one to hold back from her fans. The Teen Mom alum is opening up about her life these days, recently doing an Instagram Q&A about her experiences. It’s no surprise that many fans wanted to know about Jenelle’s family. The newly single mom of three was candid about where her co-parenting relationships currently stand.
Fans Wanted to Know if She Still Talks to Stepdaughter Maryssa
Jenelle Evans had developed a close relationship with her stepdaughter Maryssa during her nearly nine-year relationship with her estranged husband, David Eason. Maryssa, now 16, sadly has not kept in touch with Jenelle since the couple split.
“We don’t talk at all,” Jenelle said in response to one fan. When another asked about Maryssa’s relationship with Jenelle’s oldest, 14-year-old Jace, she wasn’t optimistic.
She’s distant and does what her parent tells her to do. They were close but again, she was a little distant towards Jace.

Jenelle continues to navigate co-parenting with Eason. The two share a 7-year-old daughter Ensley, though the former MTV reality star says her ex does not see their little girl. The mom of three says that Ensley “doesn’t ask” to see her dad, while Eason “doesn’t contact her.”
Jenelle Also Gave Insight into Co-Parenting with Nathan Griffith
Jenelle has always had her own family to lean on when it comes to helping with her kids. That said, her exes have been less available. Nathan Griffith, with whom she shares her second child, Kaiser, is also not active in the 10-year-old’s life. The mom of three said that Kaiser hasn’t seen his dad “for a long time.”
Nathan has his own issues and [Kaiser] knows that. [Nathan] owns up to what he’s going through and I get it. I rather Nathan get better for Kaiser’s sake before seeing him.

Jenelle did not comment on any potential co-parenting developments with Jace’s dad, Andrew Lewis. While Lewis hasn’t taken an active role in raising Jace, the two recently met up, with a photo from the moment going viral online as commenters rejoiced in how happy the teen looked.
