The future of the Real Housewives of New Jersey is still up in the air. After a rocky past few seasons, Andy Cohen and the Bravo network announced the series would be put on pause. Season 14 ended in early 2024 and featured several names that have been there for quite some time. In addition to besties Melissa Gorga and Margaret Josephs, we can’t forget about Dolores Catania. Plus, the show’s biggest pot-stirrers, Jennifer Aydin and Teresa Giudice, were never too far behind.
Even though this cast gave reality TV fans tons of explosive moments and dramatic storylines, the show became too toxic. Since NBC is figuring out how to move forward, it’s unclear who will be asked to return. However, some watchers feel strongly that they can’t get rid of the show’s OG, Teresa. But they aren’t the only ones that feel that way. During an episode of the My Friend, My Soulmate, My Podcast show, Jen said RHONJ wouldn’t be the same without Tre.
Jennifer Aydin Strongly Believes Teresa Giudice Is the Glue for RHONJ
Because RHONJ is on pause right now, the cast members are out doing other things, like filming TikToks, filming future seasons of The Traitors, and appearing on podcasts. During Jen Aydin’s latest stop, she discussed the future of Jersey and gave Teresa her props, too.
As she was talking, Jennifer said completely recasting Real Housewives of New Jersey wouldn’t be the best idea.
“It takes time to get invested in new characters,” she said before saying Teresa has been there “from the beginning.” She continued, explaining that Bravo’s audience “is really invested in Teresa.” In case you forgot, Teresa has shown a lot throughout her 14 years on the show. In addition to giving birth, fans saw the reality star’s rocky legal journey and divorce. They also saw her get remarried in 2023. According to Jen, Tre’s life with her four daughters and new husband, Luis, would provide “interesting content.”
Andy Cohen recently shut down rumors that they’ve made casting decisions for the next season of the show. “No, no, no. We’ve done nothing. We’ve done absolutely — I mean, well, no. Actually, we’ve done plenty, but that’s not, that’s not, no,” he said.
Despite his statements, Jennifer concluded her campaign, advocating for Tre’s future return to the show. “But at the end of the day, I believe, I believe [if] they were going to keep anybody, for sure, I would say Teresa,” she said. “I don’t think the show could be Housewives of New Jersey with a few of us and not Teresa.”
