The couple’s children have promised not to let their parents’ marriage ruin the bond that they’ve built.

Meanwhile, Affleck and his ex-wife, Jennifer Garner, have three kids, Violet, Fin, and Samuel. The kids have reportedly grown very close as stepsiblings and are now promising each other that that bond will remain solid even if their parent’s marriage ends in divorce, per In Touch Weekly.

“The kids are old enough to know what’s happening,” a source tells the outlet “Obviously, they’re very sad about it. In a perfect world they’d love it if there was a way that Ben and JLo could work things out, but they’re all pretty well resigned that’s not happening.”
Previously, there were reports that Lopez and Affleck’s kids were encouraging them to get back together. However, the insider claims that’s simply not true. Instead, the kids are banding together for their own sake.
“To say they’re meddling and trying to get them back together is just not accurate. Most of all they just want them to be happy,” the source continued. “What is true is that they’re vowing not to let this affect their bond. They’ve all been in touch throughout this split and Emme and Fin especially are staying super close.”
Meanwhile, as Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez seemingly grow apart, their kids are doing the opposite. The informant states that the five children have a “great relationship” and that they still talk and hang out frequently. They’re determined to keep their relationships going, and Affleck and Lopez are reportedly on board with the plan. “They still consider each other family,” says the source.
Perhaps Ben Affleck and Jennifer Lopez will work things out in the future. They certainly appear to have a strong and loving support system in their children. However, no matter what happens it looks like they’ll be forever bonded by their kids.
