Lopez is allegedly looking to revamp her image following a tough year that saw a career downside and the end of her marriage to Ben Affleck. So, she’s turning to reality television.
According to The Globe, Jennifer Lopez is desperately trying to win back public opinion, and by appearing on her own reality TV series she could show a different side of herself. Following her divorce from Ben Affleck, JLo allegedly believes that her ex-husband has come out of the split with better publicity than her. So, she wants to change the narrative.
Sources reveal that JLo’s afraid of being branded as “toxic” after rumors of her diva behavior, wild spending, and her short stint at marriage with Affleck. “She’s never been more unpopular,” an insider dished.
Over the years, Lopez hasn’t shied away from the cameras. Her personal life has been a staple in the media, so a reality show isn’t a huge stretch. “She loves attention,” says the source, so sharing her life with her fans should be “no problem” for her.

Collider previously reported that it’s not just Jennifer Lopez’s divorce from Ben Affleck that has declined over the past year. The singer’s This Is Me…Now album didn’t perform like she wanted it to. The album’s counterpart, a film about her relationship with Affleck, also became a source of scrutiny for fans. Soon after, she canceled her summer tour due to low ticket sales which is said to be a major reason behind the decision.
“She needs to accept the fact that she’s a legacy act now and that she’s been one for the past decade or so,” one person wrote via Reddit.
“She’s delusional. That’s what it all boils down to. To think that you are as relevant and popular as Taylor Swift and Beyonce,” another stated.

Jennifer Lopez hasn’t announced any concrete plans for a reality TV show just yet. However, it would certainly open her up for more criticism in the future. Although reality TV has worked for other stars. It would be a gamble for her, but the risk could be worth the reward.
