Many, including myself, have been left disappointed with the small amount of content in Star Wars Battlefront. With a sequel as highly anticipated as this one paired with the Star Wars name, it was bound for greatness. Alternately we ended up receiving a half-baked game (more like quarter-baked). With only a few maps and playable heroes, we were all left out in the cold (on Hoth) and found wanting. But we aren’t alone in our discontent, and if anyone has the platform to get EA’s attention and hear our pleas, Star Wars: The Force Awaken’s John Boyega does.

John Boyega addressed EA publicly on Twitter asking if players can expect to get a playable campaign and story mode. EA responded to his questions asking him if he has had a chance to play Battlefront’s “Missions” game mode. God bless you John Boyega for doing what no man could have. Boyega proceeded to press further and even went as far as to say he had played the Missions mode, but that he wanted more content than that. The two proceeded to exchange multiple more tweets planning a trip for Finn to visit Electronic Arts’ UK headquarters. EA responded to Boyega and confirmed the plans for him to visit by saying, “Sounds like a date.”

There are notable great thing about Battlefront such as its amazing visuals. The graphics are beautiful, and a well-deserved nod is owed to the graphic designers of EA and DICE. But that is not enough to cover up the extreme lack of content that left swarms of players returning the game to retailers everywhere. Although a story mode would definitely make the game much better than its current state, its not likely we will see a campaign mode until the next sequel. At least, we have a frontman we can rally behind for EA to hear our complaints and provide a more fulfilling title in the future.
