The Beloved Wrestler Elaborated on His Plan in the Post-Show Press Conference
John Cena explained that Wrestlemania 2025 will not be his final event. Rather, it will be his final Wrestlemania. He’s hoping to tour through the year’s entirety, with “tenatively” 30-40 shows on his schedule. He also touched on the fact that while this timing wasn’t his idea and he worked in collaboration with the company.
That’ll be the end of my in-ring competition. Now, part of this business plan that [the WWE] proposed and they accepted, was me remaining in the WWE family in some capacity for an extended time to come. I’ve always said to the audience that the WWE is my home and I love it and just because I physically feel I’m at my end, doesn’t mean I have to distance myself from something I love.
