True-crime movie The Order founds its leading roles with Jude Law and Nicholas Hoult, Deadline reported. The film about domestic terrorists will be directed by Justin Kurzel (Macbeth). It comes from a script written by Zach Baylin (King Richard), based on the book The Silent Brotherhood by Kevin Flynn and Gary Gerhardt.
The story takes place in 1983, which sees increasingly violent robberies and other crimes spread throughout the Pacific Northwest. The Order will see Jude Law as a lone FBI agent with a theory about the crimes not coming from traditional criminals but from a domestic terrorist group led by Nicholas Hoult. The FBI agent thinks the group is escalating toward a plan against the federal government.
Jude Law will produce The Order, which begins production in May in Alberta, Canada. Bryan Haas, Kurzel, Ben Jackson, and Stephen Fuss will produce. Baylin, Kate Susman, Jeremy Saulnier, and Zach Garrett will executive produce.
