Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom creeps ever closer, and we have a new, up-close and personal look at the dinos courtesy of the new trailer that dropped earlier today. Eager fans will probably remember the first trailer from a while back depicting the office life of the production crew. That one was humorous and light-hearted. This third and final one… is most definitely not.
In Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom, Owen and Claire return to the T-wrecked dino park to help with a rescue attempt. The island’s volcano is blowing its top, and their mission is to get as many of the ancient and cranky creatures away from there as possible.
Surprise, surprise, it was all a sham. The true goal was to gather up the specimens and convert their genes into living dino superweapons. Because yeah, that’s just a fantastic idea that couldn’t possibly have catastrophic repercussions.
That’s not to say there isn’t a bit of humor to be had. Check out this movie poster depicting the T-rex, the volcano, and a tagline parodying the first movie’s poster.

The UK got mostly the same poster, with a couple differences. The line “The park is gone” is replaced on their version with “Life finds a way.” The reason for this is due to the connotation of the word “park” in the UK, which is much more associated with the naturey, walk-your-dog type rather than theme parks. The second difference is the theater date. They’ll get to see Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom as early as June 6, while we have to wait until the 22nd.
Jurassic World: Fallen Kingdom is the second in the World trilogy, and it’s scary to think where things could go from here. The dinos are out of the park and into the world. Now imagine modern Earth with the things running around everywhere as they please.
On the upside, at least that includes Blue. Yay Blue!
