In a forum posting on their website, Just Cause Multiplayer, the Just Cause 3 multiplayer mod was announced for the game Just Cause 3. With the Just Cause Multiplayer dev team having prior success with the Just Cause 2 multiplayer mod, the JC3-MP mod hopes to bring the same chaotic action that having multiplayer in the open world destruction based sandbox game brings.
This announcement should also come as good news to publisher Square Enix and developer Avalanche Studios. Just Cause 2 sold around 6 million copies and many have contributed the multiplayer mod to giving the game an increased presence and high level of replayability and, as of this writing, has 1,458 active players on the multiplayer servers. With Just Cause 3 having somewhat mixed reviews between critics and users, this looks to be just the thing to continue interest in the franchise and help with the community reporting the PC version having a rough launch.
Community racing with grapple hooks, instant chaos with players using jets and rocket launchers along with destructible buildings should make for this to be a mod for any PC gamer to keep an eye out for in 2016.
