Obviously, Rico doesn’t care for drones or any other robotic creations. What’s going to be Rico’s tool for robotic genocide? The Bavarium Wingsuit of course! The blog post by Lee Williams, over at Square Enix, explains that Rico is
Locked and loaded with a Bavarium machine gun and rockets, [and] players can expect an additional 3-4 hours of gameplay in Sky Fortress: that includes new missions, challenges and weapons. The “Bavarium Splitter” Assault Rifle and a personal defense drone are just two of the new features
Obviously, these new tools (toys) will be available in the main game as well. I mean, come on, his wing suit has dual machine guns attached to them. At the moment, this is the first of three expansions that are due to be released in the Air, Land & Sea Expansion Pass, with a March 11th release date. That’s like next month… Rad.
As a bonus, Square Enix has released some early concept art of what’s to come in the near future for Rico and Just Cause 3.
These images, ideas, and concepts are subject to change at any time; don’t expect this chunky mech to necessarily be the final version. Here’s a tentative schedule for the upcoming expansion packs, all of which should be released by the end of 2016 Summer.
- Pack 1: Sky Fortress – March 2016
- Pack 2: Mech Land Assault – TBA 2016
- Pack 3: Bavarium Sea Heist – TBA 2016
The Air, Land & Sea Expansion Pass is available now on PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC for $24.99
