The actress and her husband, Ryan Reynolds are requesting a gag order to rein in the director’s legal team’s uncomfortable utterances. The couple wants Baldoni’s legal team, headed by Bryan Freedman, to desist from participating in “improper conduct.”
Lively and Reynolds cited allegations of a “harassing and retaliatory media campaign” against Baldoni and his attorneys. The couple noted that Baldoni is reportedly breaching a very sensitive court regulation. The regulation prohibits a lawyer from speaking to the media about issues that are not pertinent to a case. The statement could allegedly influence the jury’s opinion in the case.
Lively and Reynolds explicitly reference the release of raw footage from the filming of It Ends With Us. Her team claimed the act entirely supports what Lively stated in her original complaint from December. Lively previously charged Baldoni with sexual harassment and claims he participated in a concerted effort to damage her reputation.
