These days, Taylor Swift isn’t shy about sharing her voting intentions to her loyal fanbase. Case in point, “The Tortured Poet’s Department” singer-songwriter officially endorsed Kamala Harris following the presidential debate earlier this week, via her Instagram. However, the crooner’s support for the Democratic candidate has been solidified further by the Harris team embracing their Swift era by including some of the songstress’ lyrics in their digital campaign ads.
Of course, the Taylor Swift-themed billboards feature lyrics from 2017’s hit single “…Ready For It?” and reference Taylor’s record-breaking Eras tour, as reported by People. Specifically, one of the digital posters reads: “A New Way Forward …Ready For It?” Meanwhile, the second Democratic billboard states, “We’re In Our Kamala Era!” The duo of ads have been spotted in Las Vegas and Times Square. Interestingly, the Las Vegas billboard coincides with a Donald Trump rally, which is scheduled to take place today, on Sept. 13.
Naturally, it didn’t take long for the Swifties to chime in with their thoughts on the Taylor Swift-themed political endorsements. In fact, over on Reddit, the fanbase was largely unsurprised by her support of Kamala Harris, as she had previously backed Joe Biden in the 2020 US presidential elections.
“Let the games begin” one commenter declared, gaining 27 likes.
“As a Vegas resident, I’ll be ecstatic to see some push-back against the Trump digiboards that I always see around town. Hopefully they’ve bought some space on the Fashion Show marquee and any boards visible from Trump Hotel.” a second Swiftie wrote, picking up a handful of support via likes.
A third fan went on record to proclaim: “I think he has a rally there soon (Las Vegas) so maybe if it gets under his skin more and he says he likes her 40% less we’ll get another sale 🤞🏻”
We wonder what other cryptic and Machiavellian ideas Kamala Harris’s team will “mastermind” next, eh?
