Karens At Target Attempt to Pull a Money-Finding Scam: ‘I’m Sad We Didn’t Get To See Their Faces When Security Saw The Video’

They had to have known they were on camera

There are some videos out there that just make you want to jump in and resolve the problem yourself. For me, this is especially so whenever I see one of those videos of influencers pranking people in public. One Reddit user posted one video of someone pretending to find a wad of cash next to a mother and daughter Karen duo to see their reactions when he asked if it belonged to them.

"give it back, that's my mom's money!" "I'll call security!" yeah… sure.

The video, posted by Clean-Entrepreneur16, starts off with the man behind the camera bending down by two women and picking up a large sum of cash off the floor. He very casually asks the the closest woman if the cash belongs to her and the moment she eyes the wad, she immediately claims it’s hers. After a few seconds of the man and woman going back and forth, the woman’s daughter appears and states that yes, the money belongs to her mother.

Of course, we all know that the money isn’t theirs, and since the man knows this, too, he tries to pry further about how they know it’s theirs. After some deliberations, they went from saying the money was her mom’s to saying they should all split it. Eventually, she gets upset at where the conversation might be going and insists that they call security, to which the man realizes he should just leave. As he leaves, the two women begin to chase him through the Target, which is when the video ends.

The replies rapidly filled with people criticizing the two women for their actions, especially considering how bold the daughter was.

““do me a favor and just give it to my mom”

that’d be a favor yea 😭”

Other commenters were upset that the video was cut off so soon. It would have been great to see exactly how Target felt about what was going on.

“I’m sad we didn’t get to see their faces when security saw the video”

Hopefully, the man was able to leave the store without being harmed and the two women left embarrassed. I don’t understand how anyone could be that bold knowing they have a camera pointed at them.
